Dr Saqib Naseer is a graduate of Allama Iqbal Medical Colloge Lahore, Pakistan. After the graduation he immigrated to United States of America. He did residency in Internal Medicine in affiliation with University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey where he served as Chief Medical Resident. He then did a three year fellowship in Cardiology at St Luke's/Roosevelt Hospital New York, Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons and became a specialist in cardiovascular diseases. He is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular diseases and Nuclear Cardiology. He is a Fellow of American College of Cardiology and American Society of Nuclear Cardiology.
In 1996 he moved to Connecticut and started practice in Cardiovascular diseases. He has been Chief of Cardiology at Manchester Memorial Hospital, Rockville General Hospital, Eastern Connecticut Health Network. He is involved in teaching of medical students and residents and is Assistant professor of clinical medicine and faculty supervisor of Cardiology service University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine. He has been actively involved in many committees of hospitals including Medical Executive committee. He has been elected twice as President of the Medical Staff. He is serving as Chair of the Board for past 6 years, Currently he is serving as President of the Medical Staff at Manchester Memorial Hospital, Hartford Health Care.
He believes in spirit of volunteerism and has been working in conjunction with many organizations. He is a founding member of Pakistani American Association of Connecticut that came into existence in year 2000. Initially he was General Secretary of the organization for several years and is currently serving as Vice President. He is also a Board member of the largest Islamic Center of Connecticut.
